The Obsession with Busyness
What is our obsession with being busy
Sometimes I just want to sit and stare at a bird or listen to the birds.
When is the last time you stared at a tree and noticed spiderwebs and the intricate designs of nature.
Sometimes I wonder if everyone stopped and sat outside in nature a little more if things would look different.
Maybe people don’t want to stop because stopping means seeing and feeling everything that is happening.
If you’re a feeling oriented highly sensitive person you likely feel devastated right now.
Rewiring these neuropathways
If you’re someone with neuropathways, which are basically highways in your brain that lead into staring to dooms day, death is coming, run, freak out, be afraid, be very afraid, just leave this life, it’s not worth it, kind of highways then this post is for you.
It’s not easy to rewire your brain and create positive highways or neuropathways in your brain, but it is possible.
Repetition helps! What you feed your mind and repeat to it will become a highway.
I have a few highways, but the one leading straight toward just leave this life already it’s a mess, the world is ending we’re all fucked, that one isn’t a ride I enjoy taking or think is helpful for anyone involved. I watch it ignite. I witness how fast thoughts and stories cling to it. Not only is the environment burning and animals are getting sick from global warming, but so are people. Autoimmune disease and suicide are on the rise. It’s all fucked. And you’re doing a great job at teaching your children to love nature and the earth so get ready to break their hearts all the way. You’ll only have yourself to blame.
The other pathway says, “all of this is not my fault. I am one tiny insignificant spec of dust on this huge planet in this vast ever expanding universe. And I get to chose what I focus on in this life. I choose to focus on love, peace, light, and joy. I see the dark, the evil, the greed, the heartbreak, and I meet with peace and courage. I won’t give up on myself, on my family, or on this planet.
I love it too much.
It’s okay to feel heartbroken sometimes, it means you’re paying attention.
If you’re someone with a fast track into thoughts that want to eliminate you from existence, thoughts that think all of this is meaningless and not worth it, thoughts that tell you we’re better off without you, thoughts that say you don’t matter, thoughts that think about ways to leave, believe me when I tell you these are just thoughts, they are not you and have nothing to do with you and everything to do with being a sensitive empathetic human being living in a complicated world full of pain.
You can create space between you and these thoughts.
You can get help and create a reality where you want to be here.
These thoughts do not define you.
What defines you is what you choose to do about it? Do you give in and listen to these thoughts and let them consume you?
Do you tell yourself you don’t matter and you don’t need help?
Do you bury yourself in pain?
Or do you reach for help?
Do you conquer the pain?
Do you you have courage and fight for love?
Love always,
Danielle Mallett
