The Stories Writers Carry

You know what’s crazy about being a writer?

The endless storylines you consider turning into books. You can quite literally go in any direction. Does a sweet friendship turn into a betrayal?

Does a small town turn out to be haunted?

Do you write something hopeful? Dramatic? Fantasy? Non fiction? Poetry? Mystery?

Something with death grief, the difficulty of being human? Will it be a superficial read or something with more depth?

Is there romance?

Is there love, real love or the betrayal of love?

Is it a story about a perfect looking neighborhood, but all the neighbors have secrets some much more revealing than others?

Is it a story about unimaginable loss and the resilience that comes from enduring it?

Are they simple vignettes of a family, each chapter showing the highs and lows of one persons life and how they all intersect?

ALL of these storylines are interesting to me.

I could lock myself in a room for months and right all of them. I might go insane and have a panic attack when I’m done, at least all the stories will finally have a place to live outside of me.

No, instead I have two children, personal training clients (who I love), a house to keep up, a body I care about, and very little time to dive into writing novels. Yet, I continue to scratch down notes.

Currently I have a book about:

Worthiness:

What if you were always worthy of love, peace, joy and kindness no matter your circumstances?

What if worthiness can’t be taken from you?

What if you’re inner knowing suspects your worthiness and uses it to fuel every step of your life?

A story for every girl, young woman, and aging woman who knows deep down that every human being is worthy of love, peace, joy, and kindness.

A story of relentless pursuit for love, peace, joy and kindness against the shackles of a mind that leans towards self criticism, self berating, and the hurt stories that shape us.

As someone who lives with reoccurring unpleasant thoughts
