Movement, Mom Life & Creativity

Here’s what you can look forward to reading each week here on my Substack — a mix of movement, mom life, and creativity:

Weekly Lineup

  • Movement Mondays → thoughts on the challenges of moving our bodies, self-care as a caregiver, and simple movement practices for everyone.

  • Mom Life Be Like… Wednesdays → new chapters from my upcoming book, Mom Life Be Like… — an honest, funny look at pregnancy through postpartum.

  • Creative Fridays → reflections on writing, creativity, and how to keep your spark alive through all seasons of life.

I hope this rhythm brings you something grounding to look forward to — whether it’s support for your body, encouragement in mom life, clarity about our shared language, or inspiration for your own creativity.

Thanks for being here with me each week. 💛

Fun fact, when I started publishing books in 2017 I created a second website because everyone everywhere said “you can’t have a fitness business and a book business in the same place.”

4 years later I said, “Fuck that.” I hired someone to build me getwellwithdanielle.com/books and boom, now both of my businesses are in the same place.

Marketing experts tell you to pick a genre and stick to it.

I’ve never liked doing what people tell me to do even if it could make my life easier.

If you’re a creative person and you are, we are all creative in some way, you don’t have to do it the way people say to do it, you get to do it your way. That’s what makes it artistic.

If you’re reading these posts I value your time, your attention, and I appreciate you being here.

If you read a post that you connect to I would be honored if you shared it with a loved one or posted it somewhere where other people might find it.

Okay it’s Monday and every Monday I vow to bring you a little inspiration to move your body.

It doesn’t have to be a full on work out, just something to get you moving in a way that feels good.

Here are a few of my favorite go to options:

  • A supported downward dog stretch using a counter. Take 5 breaths here.

  • Legs up the wall or at 90 degrees (share legs at 90 degree video)

  • Lay flat on your stomach (this is a real pose) take 5 breaths into your back

Love Always,

Danielle Mallett
