Feel-Good Exercise

What Would Happen if You Set the To-Do List Down

I tend to be one of those people that pushes through.
Someone who keeps working harder and doing more.
As an entrepreneur it’s challenging to know when to rest, when enough is enough. There are endless to do lists.
Being a mom just adds to the endless to do lists.

Upcoming holiday decorations and a newly mobile baby is an added stress.
Family drama that keeps returning when I think it’s finally over.
Years of creating safety and peace in my life only to get hit by another family tsunami.

Today though, today is one of the first days where I recognized how much I am doing and holding emotionally.
On top of everything I have two sick kids and being home with them all day tending to their needs can take it out of me.
Three weeks of sick kids and usually I also have clients whose needs I tend to, but this week I tended to my family and myself first.

I’ve been getting better at this.

I know I can’t pour from an empty cup but that hasn’t stopped me in the past from trying.

Relieve Neck Pain and Stress with This Feel-Good Exercise

Maybe it’s that my 40th birthday is around the corner.
Maybe it’s that this time the family drama feels more secretive.
Maybe it’s that I just no longer have the capacity to carry around the same amount of emotional baggage I once could.

Either way, I have a knot in my stomach this week and the way I’m getting through it is by doing less.

I found this old post and thought it was worth sharing for this holiday season for anyone out there feeling alone with heavy emotions.

As someone who holds stress in my head and neck I have found this pose to help a lot!

Restorative Neck Extension

Try it out and tell me how it feels.

Love Always,
